Start/organize a new Oklahoma Christmas Bird Count with Audubon Society

Thu, November 15, 2018 - Sat, December 1, 2018
All Day

Thought of being a more active citizen scientist? Have a circle of friends who want to volunteer for wild life and are wild about birds? Then, applying to create a new Oklahoma Christmas Bird Count circle may be just the conservation role waiting for you! As organizer/compiler, you will have the responsibility for registering and naming your group, recruiting at least 10 helpers, locating a 15-mile circle not already monitored by a CBC team, recording habitats and birds found therein, and reporting the data. If you have not run a “trial” before, please start the application well in advance of the Dec. 1 deadline. Happy birding!
