Elia Woods of Commonwealth Urban Farms will offer a behind-the-scenes visit to her urban farm and address some of the most essential tasks in maintaining a healthy edible garden: watering and fertilizing. You’ll learn how she irrigates her garden and some simple irrigation techniques such as timers, drip irrigation and implementing your own irrigation system. Elia will also cover fertilizer types, organic options and demonstrate how to apply them. Aspiring and established gardeners will relish this opportunity to visit a fascinating garden and to learn new techniques from a true urban farmer.
