Oklahoma Native Plant Society: Central Chapter Virtual Event

Thu, February 4, 2021
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Central Chapter’s ONPS lecture series will resume at 7pm, Thursday, February 4th, 2021. This month’s presentation will be given by Kevin Mink, Urban Soil Health Specialist, Oklahoma County Conservation District.

Kevin’s talk will describe an exciting new program, Yard by Yard, being rolled out by Conservation districts to educate, encourage and promote the use of native wildflowers and grasses to create prairie style gardens; providing habitat for multiple species including endangered pollinators. It’s an interesting subject that many of use hold near and dear… looks like the word is now getting out to the masses.

The presentation will stream live via the ONPS website (www.oknativeplants.org). To attend, simply go to the website, hit the link and you’ll be connected. For those that will be unable to view the presentation live, it will be achieved for later viewing.
